This month I've found out The Velveteen Rabbit is back in print.
One of my favourite books for children (of any age!) I have to highlight
it as the book of the month. At the same time I've included
a few other inspiring and beautiful kid's books that no childhood
should be without.

The
Velveteen Rabbit: Classic Edition €13.50
Or, How Toys Become
Real
Margery Williams, Don
Daily (Ill)
`Real isn`t how you are made,` said the Skin Horse. `It`s
a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a
long, long time, not just to play with but really loves you,
then you become Real.`
Generations of adults and children have
embraced the enchanting story of how love changes a child`s
favourite toy into a living, breathing, real-life rabbit.
With warm and charming illustrations by
Don Daily, this edition introduces a new generation of readers
to Margery Williams`s magical tale and reminds us all what
it truly means to be Real.
This is one of the most beautiful books
I`ve ever read.

Granddad`s
Prayers of the Earth €9.00
Douglas Wood, P J Lynch (Ill)
`When I was little, my Granddad was my
best friend. Being with him always made the world seem just
right.`
There are many ways to pray, Granddad
tells his grandson as they walk through the woods. The trees
reach for heaven, streams and rivers flow and chuckle, birds
sing - everything in the world has its own prayer. Then one
day, Granddad is gone. Now, more than ever, the boy needs
to hear the prayers of the earth, and to find the words to
make his own prayers. Will the world ever seem just right
again?
A wonderfully uplifting & inspiring
story of a young boy`s discovery of how to become in touch
with himself & the wonder of the world around him. Through
his Granddad`s spiritual awareness, the boy learns about the
nature of prayer - of becoming quiet in order to celebrate
life.
