This month there's one book I'm delighted to recommend: the Green Building Bible.  Although UK based this publication is packed with green building info and is excellent value for money.

Green Architecture & Building

Green Building Bible €20.15
All you need to know about ecobuilding
Keith Hall (Ed)
Essential information to help you make your home and buildings less harmful to the environment, the community and your family.

The most comprehensive and practical introduction to green building ever!

Subjects covered in detail are: material selection; thermal insulation; buying an eco-home; sourcing sustainable timber; natural paints; heating your eco-home; solar heating; sustainable roofing; air tightness of buildings; healthy homes etc. The book also includes extensive guidance and advice on how to obtain grants for renewable energy installations and other environmental initiatives (in the UK).

Looking for a professional or tradesman? This book helps you to find builders, architects, plumbers etc. either nationally or in your area that are able to carry out work to your high environmental expectations.

It says it includes extensive listings of green building professionals, tradespeople, product suppliers and organisation in the UK & Ireland but really has a UK focus.
