Sustainable
& Educational Events (SEE) Ltd, in association with Book STEPs,
have produced the 2006/07 West Cork Green Directory funded in part
by BioPower Ltd.
The 2006/2007 edition is an A5 brochure forms
part of the West Cork Green Information Pack distributed at the
Hard Rain event in Bantry in October 2006 (see here
for more details). The West Cork Green Directory is available
from environmental outlets and health food stores around West Cork
including Organico and Book STEPs in Bantry.

The Directory is aimed at providing easily accessible
solutions to the problems of today and consists of:
- More than 20 topics including Building &
Planning, Crafts & Skills, Energy, Fair Trade, Transport & Travel
and Waste & Recycling, each covering:
- Soundbites of information, facts and quotes on the topic
- Listings of West Cork environmental and ethical organisations
with the following details: Company Name, Contact Numbers, email,
website & short description
- Company Names, websites and short descriptions of environmental
organisations in the rest of Co Cork, Ireland & the World
- Summaries on Ethical Consumerism, Measuring
Sustainability, Climate Change, Peak Oil and Having Your Say!
- A selection of relevant State websites
- A 12 step personal Powerdown plan developed
by the Cultivate Centre in Temple Bar, Dublin - for more information

The information pack is designed to provide interested
individuals with a easy-to-read, ready source of local environmental options
& information including:
- a directory of environmental organisations
- information sheets on how to take
steps towards a sustainable lifestyle in the areas of energy, building,
gardening, water, health, home and lifestyle, business, food, etc.
- leaflets from a selection of environmental
organisations
- a feedback form
The 2006/2007 Green Directory will be updated next
year so please do continue to submit your entries.
