Title: Successful Allotments

Author: Pauline Pears
Description: Subtitle: Green Essentials - Organic Guides

Allotments are back and are now increasingly popular with a younger audience and with families who want to try growing their own organic produce. Here we show you how to go about finding an allotment , what to grow, how to maintain interest and get the most from being an allotment holder. Everything is presented in a simple, step-by-step style.

About the Author

Pauline Pears lives in Leamington Spa. She is Head of Information for HDRA – the organic organisation which has its headquarters at Ryton Organic Gardens near Coventry. She is responsible for the advisory team, answering thousands of organic gardening queries every year. Pauline has written many books on organic gardening, pest control and composting. She also appears on radio and TV from time to time. With her husband, she runs 4 organic allotments – laid out in beds of course!

About the Series

Green Essentials gardening guides from Impact – a totally new concept in gardening guides. Theyre practical, fun and each one is focused on just one topic – making it the ideal way for busy gardeners or beginners to get all the top organic tips they need.

These books may be small (and incredible value at just 4.70 euros) but theyre already making a big impression! And you know you can trust the organic advice they contain – all books carry the logos of the HDRA and the Soil Association.

Reviews

I couldnt help but be impressed...the information is presented in an easy-to-access format, never too long winded and with useful pictures to help you identify specific problems and throughout are Action Stations or lists that summarise exactly what you need to do and when. - Pippa Greenwood
